“Let us step into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.” - J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
J.K. Rowling by far is one of my favorites, her life story and of course the wonderful world of Harry Potter she created. This quote is #truth, adventure is like a temptress we always want it and are tempted to be, but sometimes and most of the time hold back because of fear of the unknown.
Although my adventure was definitely not in the night, we did purse adventure in Price Edwards County. Myself and my good friend took the weekend by storm, driving about two and half hours outside of Toronto to a land full of grape vines and bike trails. We stayed at the beautiful Compass Rose Suites, which was basically a magical farm house, the windows the décor everything was on point and jaw dropping when you entered. The service was personable and welcoming and felt like you were staying at a friends home. We then #adventured off to town to rent bikes at Ideal Bike, and ride down the trail to Karlo Estate to taste wine (maybe a little to much); then off to lunch at the Drake Devonshire. The Drake is somewhere I have wanted to visit for about a year now, constantly going on there website and checking dates, but the inn books up very fast. It was exactly what I hoped and dreamed it would be, the art was unique and every touch of the place was perfection. Plus the food was super yummy, got the eggs benny and devoured it, with a East India Trading cocktail on the side. We then enjoyed a dinner back at the farm house where no TV was insight, it was peaceful and tranquil. I would 100% recommend going to the Compass Rose and Prince Edwards County, there's an energy there that definitely draws you back for more.
